NEW: Support Drivers for Relay Teams

  1. Know the BIB number of your team. This is also your printed Vehicle Number. After July 9, 2008 it will be available at Registration or on the web site.
  2. Pick up the Vehicle Number at registration. Place it in the rear, driver-side window during the entire race.
  3. Pick up Vehicle Rules/Instructions at registration. Keep in vehicle the entire race.
  4. Attend the Safety Briefing at registration.

Support vehicles have instructions and numbers this year.

MAKE YOUR REGISTRATION FASTER AND EASIER
Please get your BIB number before your come to register
and check your registration data with our lists posted on the web site at http://www.fireweed400.com/2008WrittenFiles/July_28_Individual.htm for individuals and http://www.fireweed400.com/2008WrittenFiles/July_28_Team.htm for teams. These links are on the Latest News and Entry pages but are NOT the single-file list posted on the
Entry page. They will be updated finally on July 8 at 10 PM. Any changes to your entry should be sent to jimgalanes@clearwire.net. Thank you.
For racers/support drivers who do not live in Anchorage or who have race
directors permission, you may pick up your race packet at Sheep Mountain Lodge,
in the greenhouse by the restaurant, as follows: 400 mile racers only from Friday 10 AM to 11:30 AM; Saturday racers in the 50, 100, or 200 milers from Friday 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM or at least an hour before your start time Saturday morning. NO CHANGES Saturday morning.

HELP! Guenther Mayer from Germany, age 37, is racing the 400 miles in the Fireweed and only has one crew. Guenther wants a second crew member  from Alaska to crew for him. Please volunteer and let him know at guenther.mayer@oenb.at and me (George Stransky, Fireweed assistant director) at gdadak@aol.com know. Thanks!

Sheep Mountain Meals
Friday: All-you-can-eat sphagetti dinner 4 PM to 8:30 PM for only $12.
Sheep Mountain Lodge closes at 9 PM on Friday (no food available).
Saturday: Buffet breakfast 6 AM to 11 AM for only $8
